Itinerary

Day 1:   Welcome to Guwahati
  • After your arrival at the Airport/Railway Station, you will be received by our representative, who will take you to Bhalukpong. 

  • Enjoy the scenic road journey in the picturesque views of surrounding natural beauty. You will be driving through the Kolia Bhumura Bridge over the mighty Brahmaputra River.

  • Visit Maha Mritunjay Mandir (World's Largest Shivalinga)

  • Overnight stay in Bhalukpong.

Day 2:  Day tour in Dirang
  • On this day you will be proceeding to Dirang

  • You will be visiting Orchid Research Center, Nichiphula Waterfalls, Tenga Valley and Bomdila Monastery

  • Overnight stay in Dirang

Day 3:   Tawang: Land of the Himalayas
  • The road journey to Tawang, as always in any of our trips, is exciting to entice you like never before.

  • You will be visiting the picturesque Sela PassSela Lake, Nyukmadung War MemorialJung (Nuranang) Waterfalls, Jaswant Garh War Memorial,                                   

  • Overnight stay at Tawang.

Day 4:   Tawang : Day Tour
  • On this lovely day,  you will enjoy the beautiful Sungester (Madhuri) Lake, Panga Teng Tso lake, Bumla Pass.                                                                                             

  • Visit Tawang Monastery and Tawang Local Market

  • Overnight stay in Tawang

Note: In order to visit Bumla Pass it is mandated by the govt. authorities to take local cab services on a direct payment basis and a special pass. Tourist vehicles are not allowed to take their clients there

                               

Day 5:   Tawang to Dirang
  • On this day you will be mesmerized by the beauty of Arunachal Pradesh with the sightseeing of  LDL Buddhist Monastery, Thupsung Dhargye Monastery & Sangti valley

  • Overnight stay in Dirang.

Day 6:   Journey from Dirang to Guwahati
  • On the penultimate day of your trip, you will be heading back to Guwahati. On the way, you will be visiting the Zangdokpalri Monastery & Mandala Top

  • Overnight stay in Guwahati.

From Tawang a day visit to Madhuri Lake & Bum La Pass (China Border) is possible but it is subject to permission. Permit will be given by DC office.

Which months experience snowfall in Tawang?

During the winter season of Dec to Jan snowfall is experienced

Any special Tawang health advisory
  • Enroute to Tawang, there is Sela Pass at 13,700 ft. The area has low oxygen and may cause High altitude sickness, nausea, shortness of breath etc.

  • If you have health problems like blood pressure, asthma, & heart related issue etc, kindly consult with your doctor prior to the trip

  • Kindy carry appropriate medicines as they will not be available easily
