Tiger Hill
It is located 11kms from Darjeeling town and above Ghum. It's the highest point in Darjeeling hills at an altitude of 2590 meters. The best season to see the dazzling snow-covered peaks as the sun rises is between Mid October to December.
Batasia Loop
It is a five-kilometer-long circle, around which the famous toy train finishes a precarious circle and offers breath-taking views of the mountains and the War Memorial, which was commemorated in honor of the Gorkha soldiers who lost their lives during the battle for Indian Independence.
Singalila National Park
It is situated on Singalila Ridge in the Eastern Himalayan area. The glowing view of Kanchenjunga Massif enhances the unmistakable blue skies over the park. Every single turn spreads out a lovely astonishment of wild and beautiful excellence. One of the very few places where wild Red Panda can be spotted.
Rock Garden
It is a lovely outing spot terraced with natural fall known as Chunnu summer-fall. Darjeeling Carnival
Darjeeling Carnival is a ten-day carnival. The carnival consists of several functions like poetry-reading sessions, painting and photo exhibitions, tea-drinking ceremonies, a Land Rover rally, music concerts and ethnic food festivals. Local and traditional food stalls are set up where people of all ages come and enjoy.
Teesta Festival
The Teesta tea and the tourism festival is celebrated primarily to promote tourism. This festival is organized jointly by the West Bengal Tourism, Sikkim Tourism and the Darjeeling Gorkha Hill Council. There are various sorts and blends of tea available much to the delight of the tourists who come here.
Orange Festival
The Darjeeling Orange Festival attracts tourists and helps one to get acquainted with the fruit, its varieties, quality and the methods of its conservation. Although oranges in Darjeeling are smaller and paler in colour compared to what you see in western India, they can be exceedingly sweet and delicious.
Buddha Jayanti
The birth commemoration of Lord Buddha starts in the monasteries of Darjeeling by the Buddhist monks, the Lamas. They take out parades around the town conveying the holy book of the Buddhists and furthermore Lord Buddha's idol.
Chaite Dashain
The Nepali Hindus come alive on the streets Of Darjeeling during the Chaita Dasai festival with dance and music. Worship to the Goddess of Power, Durga is done to conquer evil.
